AW25: Collection Notes

“Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea. My desire is always to be here, oh Mull of Kintyre.” Wings

At the extreme southwestern tip of the Kintyre peninsula sits the Mull of Kintyre. It’s a wild and remote place, made famous by the 1970s Paul McCartney and Wings’ hit. The song is a love letter to this far-flung rocky headland. After the break up from the Beatles, McCartney came to Mull of Kintyre to escape and restore. Scotland has a long history of providing a sanctuary for people who want time to reflect and be inspired to move forwards with their creative paths.

For AW25 inspiration comes from this magical moment in time in the late 70s when Scotland was put on the global map - photos of McCartney and his family on the farm, what they wore and how they lived.  Rich, rustic earthy tones are combined with pop accents of Fair Isles and 70s references are modernised with chunky knits, dog tooth wools, tweeds, and corduroys.

Unique fabrics are always a focal point for our collections. For AW25 we are taking traditional patterns and making them modern through more wearable and comfortable fabrications, such as the Fair Isle knitted Italian wool jersey and the bonded wool with jersey back for relaxed suiting. 

New styles for AW25 include the Pathead Puffa Vest, the Logie Oversized Shirt in nettle blend cloth, the Muirfield Argyle Cardigan in brushed Mohair, and the return of the Luss Combat Pant.
