KESTIN X SUPERGA

Using two existing Superga styles – the 2750 and the 2754 – Kestin has updated the shoes with his own unique vision. Kestin’s dedication to using sustainable fabrics, and British manufacturers continues. The shoe is made with material sourced from the Halley Stevensons Mill in Dundee and is comprised of 50% nettle/50% cotton. With a utilitarian feel, each shoe has a ‘salt and pepper’ effect running through the fabric, with monotone foxing with matching materials.

“One of the main reasons we selected the 50% common stinging nettle – 50% cotton fabric was its sustainable qualities; nettle production uses less water and less pesticides to grow than other fibres. It’s also incredibly durable originally, developed for German and Swiss Army when there was a cotton shortage of cotton during the war. The nettle fibre is long, thin and tough, and mixed with cotton is makes it very hard wearing and comfortable.”- Kestin Hare
