MERINO WOOL SWEATER, BASED ON A VINTAGE PATTERN

The Fife Gansey is a staple silhouette at KESTIN, part of our Made In Scotland collection, knitted at the Esk Cashmere Factory in Annan, Dumfries.

The sweater has a distinctive style with a neatly panelled construction based on a vintage pattern from the area of Fife. It consists of a rib-knit to the lower torso and sleeves, an intricate weave to the upper torso and a chunky-rib to the mock neck collar, cuffs and hem.

Knitted on a 5-Gauge Machine, it’s made from a premium 100% Virgin Merino wool, spun and dyed in Austria, chosen to provide the optimal blend of warmth and comfort, reducing the usual itch of wool whilst improving the insulation properties.

A perfect cold-weather midlayer, it’ll pair wonderfully over a tee and underneath a jacket or coat.

All of our Made In Scotland Knits this season feature a hand drawn illustrative neck label of the Scottish Highlands.
